Featured ArticleLeft-Handed Golf Clubs For Your Golf Swing The reality is that most of the world is designed for right-handed people while the left-handed are, basically, ignored. The right-handed golfer will have no problem finding proper equipment. They can find clubs anywhere, but this is not the case for the left-handed golfer who wants to play from the left-side. There are left-handed golfers who can play from the right side, and many do. For these "talented" lefties who can make a right sided golf swing, finding the proper equipment is easier. But, for most lefties, playing from his or her natural left side is really the only option. Keep in mind that we are referring to the person's dominant side, as the leftie is actually standing to the right of the ball as is the right-handed person standing to the left of the ball. Finding golf clubs can be quite a challenge for the left-handed golfer. Unless there is a fairly large city nearby that has a nationally-known golf shop, the left-handed golfer will most likely need to order some clubs as opposed to the right-handed golfer who can simply walk into a store, purchase some clubs and leave with them. However, most golf supply stores carry a small selection of left-handed clubs with some putters especially for lefties. The latter is important because it is difficult for a leftie for feel natural putting from the less-dominant side and, as any experienced golfer knows, the ability to putt accurately can affect the overall game result. If the left-handed golfer wants to upgrade a particular golf club, though, he or she will most likely need to order the club. If the right-handed golfer wanted to upgrade from a metal to a graphite shaft, however, he or should could just walk into the store, purchase it and leave unless, of course, he or she wants custom clubs which must be measured to fit properly and ordered. Now, this is not to say that stocking stores with clubs for the right-handed golf player does not make sense. The truth is that around 90% of people are, in fact, right-handed. It makes sense for the golf industry to design equipment for the majority, but fortunately there are companies that cater to the needs of the left-handed golfer. These companies are committed to providing quality equipment to all golfers, including lefties. Out on the course, the left-handed golfer can expect some jokes from the right-handed golfers about being on the "wrong" side of the ball. But, golf does not make exceptions in terms of a golfer's dominant side. Courses in Costa Blanca are designed to be a challenge, and certainly are for all golfers regardless of his or her dominant side. It has been argued that right-handed golfers are better at the game, but this really is not founded in fact as a good golfer achieves that level regardless of which from which he or she golf. Although statistics may show right-handed golfers to be better, this is simply due to the imbalance in the sample size as the right-handers do out number the lefties!
